Kaizley Ella

So I can't even say I have been a blogger, but now that Kaizley is here I figured this will be the best way to keep track of things. Warning this is more for me than anyone. Kaizley is already a week old and I can't believe it!! I apologize for the overload but here it goes!! Kaizley was due on Oct. 14 and my pregnancy was flawless. In June we moved to Vernal and I became a stay at home (almost) mom. I had way too much time on my hands and was ready with all her stuff with about 6 weeks left. I couldn't believe how stir crazy I got and I was so excited for her to get here.

On September 20 I had a routine prenatal appointment. I drove myself over to Roosevelt and luckily Jordan got off work in time to meet me there. We went in and strangely enough I had high blood pressure. I blamed it on the traffic and construction so I wasn't too worried but my Dr. sent us over to Labor and Deliver for non-stress test. Of course my blood pressure immediately came back down. Baby was still breech at this point and we decided that we would try and physically turn her. So the next day I went the hospital where I was hooked up to machines and pain meds for 4 hours just to have baby stay right where she was so I was told to come back for a stress test on Saturday and that everytime I came to the hospital to have my bags packed and ready to have a baby.

On Friday, Sept. 23 Jordan and I decided to have date night because we weren't sure when it would happen again. We went to dinner and got a movie and enjoyed spending time together. Good thing we decided to have date night because about 1 am I woke up with really bad chest pain. I called the hospital and they told me to wait it out and if I didn't get feeling better to come in. After about 4 hours of being in pain I got Jordan outta bed and off we went! Needless to say longest ride to Roosevelt - EVER! We got to the hospital and I was sure they were just going to tell me to go home. My blood pressure was a little high but immediately came back down. We were waiting for blood work to come back when a different nurse came in and said they were admitting me and that we would be ready for surgery by 7:30 am. We were both in shock but got ready for surgery. Come to find out I had severe preeclemsia showing up in my blood work as low platlets and that my liver and kidneys would soon start to fail if we didn't have baby.

About 7:30 on the dot the I was taken to the OR and at 7:57 am Kaizley was born measuring 5 lbs 12 oz.18 inches long !! We got to see her for a few minutes after she was born but then she was breathing very well. Jordan went to the nursery and I got taken to recovery. Shortly after a different Dr. came in and told me she was going to be life flighted because she just wasn't breathing so good and was needing a ventilator. A sweet nurse made it possible for me (still numb from the chest down to be taken to the nursery to see her before she left. I got to spend about an hour with her - just touching her little head because of all the wires. Life flight came and loaded her up and then off she flew.

Jordan left a few hours later to go be with her at the University of Utah hospital and left me behind. In the meantime I was able to have my Aunt Brenda, Uncle Dwayne, and cousin Hillary happened to be in Roosevelt so they came to keep me company. My parents and sisters had went to Vegas on Friday to meet my brother Cody's new baby Peyton, so when we called on Saturday and said we were having a baby they were 8 hours away. My parents came and stayed in Vernal and my mom stayed with me in the hospital until the discharged me on Monday so I could go see my baby. On Monday night my parents took me to Salt Lake and I got to hold Kaizley for the first time even though she had tubes and wires going ever which way.

Kaizley proved to be stronger than we thought and immediately got better and better. We spent a week in the Nicu (worst place ever it is so happy because it is full of babies, but it is so depressing because it is full of babies just trying to survive and parents just doing their best to hold it together - I do not wish that place on anyone and I pray for those who have to spend weeks and months there that they may be able to go home soon). On Sunday Oct. 2 Kaizley came home and is doing awesome. She slept the entire 3 hour ride home.

She is such a sweetheart and has the cutest little personality that I'm sure will keep us on our toes for the rest of our lives. I am so grateful to have her healthy and strong!!

Ideas

So once again I need your help. I am in charge of my wards year end Young Women in Excellence program. I have been tossing around some ideas, but am having a hard time really putting anything together. If you have any theme ideas or just remember cute things you may have done in the past, all suggestions or comments will be greatly appreciated. :)

YOUTH CONFERENCE

The beautiful thing about the Lord is that He will always give you a second chance. As the secretary for the Young Women's in my ward I am getting a second chance to do all those things I never appreciated and have the time skipped. Last week I was able to take a couple of days off of work and attend Youth Conference - It was AWESOME. We had the opportunity to do a service project at the Welfare Square, tour the conference center (always cool), go to a Mormon Tabernacle Choir Rehearsal, Hike to Ensign Peak, Do Baptisims for the dead at the SL temple, visit the Beehive House, See the Joseph Smith movie (totally testimony building, I can't believe the faith of both Joseph and Emma - WoW), have a totally awesome fireside and testimony meeting, and go to the zoo. I feel so grateful for the opportunity I had to go - I can't believe how great the teens in my ward are, they are just plain out awesome examples. Here are some pictures of the places we got to see :)

Summer & Lagoon

Well we have made it through another year of school. Jordan has done awesome and is really enjoying his major, but I think he is really glad for summer. This summer has barely even started and we are already jam packed with things to do. I am hoping we can fit a fishing trip in but we will have to see. I am still working for Rocky Ridge and Jordan now has 2 full time and 1 part time job. He is working for the government again this summer, mowing lawns in the evenings, and working at IFA on Saturday's so he is a pretty busy boy - I have decided I will see him in August!! The end of this school year is kind of bitter sweet we have been so blessed to have such good friends and sadly most of them moved. We miss all of them like crazy and hope we can get together with them some time soon. Not much is going on with us except work work work.

We did get a chance to get away for a couple of days though - although I don't know if you would call a weekend with my mom and sister's a vacation - but we had a blast and it was good to get away for a minute or two. We went to Lagoon for my little sisters dance competition they have every spring. They did awesome and the weather was nice and warm too!! I can't believe how big my baby sister is getting!! She's not really a baby anymore but like I told her once your the youngest you will always be the baby!! We also got to spend time with our moms for mother's day so it was just a good little weekend. Sadly this is probably the only trip we will take this summer because we are so darn busy, but like Jordan said it's a good thing we married each other cuz it doesn't take much to entertain either of us. :) I hope all is well with everyone and hope to get to see some of you soon :)

NEED YOUR IDEAS

So it has been a long time since I posted again. Not much goes on in the Clegg Home, so there is not much to report. Jordan and I have just been working, going to school, and hanging out enjoying the time we get to spend together - I have to say I love the man more and more every day!! About 5 months ago Jordan and I were called as the Sunday School teachers of the 13 and 14 year olds and we love it. This last week I was also put in as the Young Women Secretary and am way excited, but slightly overwhelmed. I am now in charge of Personal Progress and how it all works out I am in charge of next Tuesday's Activity. So here is where I need your help - it is Saturday and I have no idea on what I am going to do. So if you have any ideas that are fun and easy for Personal Progress Ideas I would really appreciate. it I have read some stuff online, but have no idea if I am even close to the mark! I just want to make a good first impression on the girls that Personal Progress can be fun!! So I need your help with any ideas. Thanks.

Albuquerque or Bust...

This year for thanksgiving Jordan and I had the opportunity to visit my wonderful sister-in-law Jamie and her family in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We drove all day (9 1/2 hours) on Wednesday to make it there for dinner on Thursday. Dinner was delicious and we had a great afternoon playing rock band and just catching up. On Friday Jamie and her family so graciously took us to the zoo and the aquarium and since Jordan believes that I am "a child in a grown ups body" I had a blast seeing all the animals and playing in the childrens fantasy land at the aquarium. On Saturday we decided to come home to try and beat the snow and as soon as we got into Utah the sky got darker and darker and we ended up detouring to Panguitch but 10 1/2 hours later made it safely back home. Here are some pictures of our trip.

Happy Halloween

This year for Halloween I was able to spend it with my sisters again. We had a great time and I am so thankful that we live close enough to be able to spend good times with my family. Because halloween was on Saturday we were able to carve pumpkins on Friday night. On Saturday Kadee got to cheer at a Football game so I got a ton of pictures of her and then we got to trick or treat (well Kenlee and I did, while Jordan just went with us) It was great weekend.

Also Jordan got me a new camera for my birthday (a little early) so now I might actually post some pictures, but we will have to see if I get any better at this blogging thing ;).

kadee cheers!!!

The things I learned this past year...

So I am not the best blogger. I always think I need to blog but then I never get around to it. I have had such a great year so far and these are some of the things I have learned and have come to appreciate.

1- Halloween is the best holiday ever. (Sorry my camera had struggles this day)
My sister and I have had our costumes for this year picked out since May. :)

Last year: Kenlee - Barrel of Monkey's, Kadee and Kylee- Red Sox!!

2- My family are the funniest people I will ever know. We make "funnies" left and right.

3- K-mart can be the most entertaining place you have ever been if you are with the right people!!

4- The Merry-Go-Round at K-mart is the best 25 Cents you will EVER Spend. That thing goes for like ten minutes.

5-I LOVE the rain!! unless it is at Lagoon.

6- Life is only as simple as YOU make it.

7- Sitting THROUGH traffic is better than sitting IN Traffic. :)

MOM, KADEE, & KENLEE sitting in the parking lot for two
hours watching 200 cars fight for one gate at Stadium of Fire.

8- The Stadium of Fire is a great way to celebrate the 4th of July!! And the Jonas Brothers really are not bad.

9- Sometimes in life your best just simply isn't enough, but with the Lord your best is always enough.

10- That Cartoon Characters can answer some of lifes most serious problems!!

11- I Really did marry my best friend...

The Awful Truth

Lately I have been receiving some pretty interesting e-mails that put into perspective the bitter truth about our nation. Here are a couple I would like to share:

The Tax Poem

Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he's fed.

Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.

Tax his work,
Tax his pay,
He works for peanuts
Anyway!

Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.

Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.

Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.

Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries
Tax his tears.

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his ass.

Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers,
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He's good and sore.

Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid.

Put these words
Upon his tomb,
"Taxes drove me to my doom..."

When he's gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance tax.

Accounts Receivable Tax
Building Permit Tax
CDL license Tax
Cigarette Tax
Corporate Income Tax
Dog License Tax
Excise Taxes
Federal Income Tax
Federal Unemployment Tax (FUTA)
Fishing License20Tax
Food License Tax

Gasoline Tax (44.75 cents per gallon)

Marriage License Tax
Medicare Tax
Personal Property Tax
Property Tax
Real Estate Tax

Charge Tax
Social Security Tax
Road Usage Tax
Sales Tax
Recreational Vehicle Tax
School Tax
State Income Tax
State Unemployment Tax (SUTA) Telephone Federal Excise Tax

Telephone Minimum Usage Surcharge Tax
Telephone Recurring & Non-recurring Charges Tax
Telephone State and Local Tax
Telephone Usage Charge Tax
Utility Taxes
Vehicle License Registration Tax
Vehicle Sales Tax
Watercraft Registration Tax
Well Permit Tax
Workers Compensation Tax

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?

Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the most prosperous in the world.

We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest
middleclass in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

What in the world happened? Can you spell "politicians?"

And I still have to "press 1" for Eng lish!?

And the second one - I liked is a quote by Adrian Rogers:

"
You cannont legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.
"You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

I don't know about anyone else but I am sick and tired of working my butt off and watching my husband work his butt off just to pay for my worthless neighbors cigarettes that they so nicely smoke beneath my windows so that I have to shut them in order to keep my house from smelling like a bar.

So this is to any worthless people who may be reading this (you know who you are and just in case you don't let me help you --- if you stand in line to get a check from the government so you can turn you power back on because you have been smoking cigarettes and drinking beer in the dark for a week -- it's you!!) GET A JOB - SO I DON'T HAVE TO PAY YOU TO ANNOY ME!!

Everyone else have a fabulous day!!!

Need Your Help

Hey Everyone!!! It has been a long time since I blogged but let's just face it - I am bad at this. Anyway I am blogging in hope of getting your help. As some of you may know I am a sucker for donating to good causes, so when I was asked to help out with the March Of Dimes Jail & Bail. This fundraiser is to raise money to help prevent premature birth of babies. This is a really good cause and the donation is 100% taxable. Please if you can go over to my website at www.jailandbail.marchofdimes.com/kclegg and you can securely make any amount of donation. You can also leave me a comment with your e-mail address and I will send you my address and you can send cash or check.

I really appreciate any donation that you are willing to make (if you can). This really is a great cause. Some interesting facts:

55,000 babies are born every year in Utah
20 % of those 55,000 are born to mothers wh received inadequate prenatal care
5,512 are born preterm
300 babies die before their 1st birthday

The money donated goes to help educate high risk pregnant women and families, goes towards research to find prevention of premature birth, supports education for health professionals working toward the prevention of premature birth, and goes toward programs to help pregnant women to quit smoking.

We are all at one time or another touched by the March of Dimes!! We need to do what we can to prevent tragedies and hard times.

Quick Update

Okay so Yes we are still AliVe!! My aunt nancy informed me 2 weeks ago that I am bad at this - And she wasn't lying!! Alot has been going on since I last posted. Jordan is still at school and since he changed his major to Agriculture he has been doing AweSoMe!! He totally loves it which is a good thing because he goes to school almost all day ever day. I am still working as an Office Manager and while I enjoy it some days more than others I overall LoVe it!! I couldn't ask for a better job and better people to work with!!

Anyway since I last posted - we had an awesome Christmas and were very spoiled!!! After Christmas Kenlee got to come home with us for a fun visit. She came all by herself and spent five whole days with us. I can't believe how grown up she is - I remember babysitting here when she was like two {and really mean} lol she is so sweet now but still very fiesty!! She can always make me smile :) I had to work while she was her but her and jordan had a great time. They went tubing here in Cedar and they sure had some good stories to tell. Needless to say they entertained each other during the long days of Christmas break from school. I was great to have her.

Then Kadee came down for a shopping trip the weekend of her b-day in January!! We had such a good time. We went to the movie Mall Cop and all three of us absolutely thought it was great. ha ha Peanut-Blart and Jelly!! Then on Saturday we went hiking at snow canyon by st. George it was awesome - we totally got lost in the wilderness!! It was great and then Kadee made a new friend she named Lenny the Lizard without a tail!!! It was fabulous totally a great Kadee, Kylee, Jordan moment!! :) Then we got to go shopping in St. George and Dee got a Ton of cute clothes for her b-day - I even got some too!!!

At the end of January my cousin and his wife got to go through the Manti temple it was such a great experience {even though Jordan couldn't be there). In February we got to go to the Draper Temple Open House with some of Jordan's family {It was gorgeous} And we all found out that I AM my niece Jacqui's favorite aunt. She was sooooooooo adorable when her mom would show her the different rooms and tell her that one day she would get married there.

At the end of February my Kadee got to come back down for State Basketball that was held at the Centrum. She brought one of her friends and stayed Thursday Night with her and then on Friday our cousin Brinley joined us and stayed with us as well. We had such a good time - Who new a bunch of 14 year olds could be so Entertaining - We have to do it again girls it was too much fun!!!

In March I got the awesome opportunity to throw my cousin a baby shower. I have been working on it for a while and am so glad that it turned out good for her. It gave me something to do while Jordan has been so busy with school - I had so much fun planning it thanks for letting me throw it for you Ash - I hope you enjoyed!! Now I am booked every weekend for the next four weeks with fun stuff to do including baby showers, bridal showers, temple trips, missionary homecoming, and dancing competitions - So I will have to update again soon!!

UpDaTe

Hey everyone so I have figured out I am really bad at blogging. I like to decorate my blog but I forget to write in my blog, so here it goes. On August 29 - August 31 my mom and Kadee came to visit us. I needed to but out signs for my work at all the homes in the Parade of homes so my boss bought us tickets to go see the houses. On Saturday we got up and spent 6 hours driving from house to house and we got to see some gorgeous houses. I thought it was awesome - even though most of the houses' master bathrooms were as big as my whole house LoL. We had a really fun weekend and Kadee and me got really good at sticking those stupid signs into the ground. - Thanks for your help Dee.

I mentioned before my car was broke and 5 Grand (thank goodness for waranties) and three trips to the doctor later you would think it was better - but that is where your wrong. I finally got my brand new car back after two weeks of being "Fixed" and on the way home from St. George it killed on us twice (No we didn't even make it home before the stupid thing broke again). So we tried to figure out another plan to get it back to St. George and in the mean time the car basically worked so I just drove it - cheaper on gas then the truck. So yesterday I was at a stoplight on my way to work, the light turned green, I let out the clutch, and did I go - No I sat there with a line of cars honking at me behind me in the middle of morning traffic let me just tell you how fun that was. Luckily there were some nice guys behind me and they pushed my car out of the road. So Long story short Jordan drove the car Back to the doctor this morning before school (the car died on him 4 times before he got there) and I am back driving the old reliable chevy.

In the meantime may I take a moment and say OH BABY!!! At the office where I work there are three brothers that own the company, 1 driver, and me and in the last 4 months there has been 5 babies born!!! CRAZY!!! My one boss had TWINS (1-boy and 1- girl) in May, my other TWO bosses had BOYS in august and our driver had a GIRL on monday - that makes 5. So needless to say we are up to our ears in babies around here and all I get is there dads LOL!! NOt to mention the handful of people I know that are expecting - ConGrats and GooD LucK to evERyonE with little BuNDlEs of JoY!!

Well that is all for my super exciting life LOL.
